Ms. Galaxy North York 2020/21
Shaunelle was born with a genetic retina condition that caused her to live with partial blindness. Despite her condition, Shaunelle is a para-athlete and holds Canadian records in both sprints and long jump. She's currently studying social work at York University and is an active advocate for the Canadian National Institute of the Blind. Shaunelle is also a single mother who is able to emulate the importance of acceptance of people with diverse abilities and backgrounds to her daughter. She is passionate about empowering people that feel hopeless. She believes that "you can still have a vision without sight".
