Mrs. Galaxy Elsipogtog 2023

Carolyn is a Mi’kmaq Two-Spirit woman and social work student from Elsipogtog First Nation, New Brunswick, and uses they/them pronouns. Carolyn works in the public service, in Indigenous policy, and serve as co-chair of the sector’s Workplace Wellbeing Committee. Carolyn’s platform includes: Indigenous ways of knowing, intergenerational healing, mental health, and cat welfare. Brain cancer awareness is another issue close to Carolyn’s heart, having lost their mom to glioblastoma in December of 2022. Their platform regularly supports the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. Carolyn happily lives with their wife and three kitties.
