    Jennifer Van Den Berg

    4th Runner Up 

    Jennifer is representing Barrie, Ontario. She's a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and was working as a Compliance Analyst before going on maternity leave in 2018. During maternity leave, she is continuing her education by completing courses in Fraud and Cyber Security. When Jennifer is not caring for her two children, she enjoys ballet and learning the piano. Before becoming a mother, she modelled and was a cheerleader for the Toronto Rock. Her love for pageants started in 2012, winning titles such as Miss Indy Toronto 2014 and Ontario's Perfect Miss 2018. She strives to be an excellent role model for her children and hopes to work for Canada's National Intelligence Agency one day.

    Arti Verma Kwatra 

    Arti is a proud mother of three beautiful children who supports her with her every super woman venture she sets eyes on. She is a founder of Live to Help community association that aims to give back to the community by hosting events and raising money through unique ideas for various causes. Her passion to give back to the community has influenced her to create a revolutionary networking platform called Mixximize that helps people connect with community influencers and business professionals in their respective fields. Mixximize allows an online and in person interaction between influencers and professionals while simultaneously earning revenue for themselves/charities/noble causes. Arti firmly believes in building right connections and using the available resources from around her to build platforms for herself and others in the community to help the less privileged. With sharing and caring deepened in her roots, she sets an example of an independent woman who is versatile with the roles she plays as an influencer, entrepreneur, mother, wife, and more. She proudly say, "do noble and be noble!"

    Shanika MacEachern

    Shanika was born and raised in Nova Scotia and resides in a small Mi’Kmaq Community in Cambridge. Shanika is the oldest girl of eleven siblings and takes pride in her family. Shanika is a mother of a five year old daughter, Breighlynn, and a fiancé to Michael her soon to be husband.
Shanika has completed a course at college in 2014 where she has obtained a diploma in “Mi”Kmaq addictions prevention and healing counselling. She continues her education online at Acadia University. Shanika has worked the past five years at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre where she works as an autism support worker.
Shanika considers herself to be a community role model and doesn’t shy away from leadership opportunities. You will often see her volunteering in her community or surrounding areas and using traditions such as dance to intrigue community youth in their culture. 
    Pageants have allowed Shanika to be the most confident version of herself. Shanika has competed in local and provincial pageants since 2008 and often gets recognized for her outgoing and upbeat personality.

    Yoleen Naidoo

    Yoleen is a proud mum, married to the love of her life and is working at her dream job. She is a graphic designer, wedding planner, writer, coach, motivational speaker, philanthropist and business woman. 
    Family life inspires and empowers her to grow and achieve her dreams. Her values have taught her to be a go-getter while still keeping her feet on the ground.  She loves being girly, travelling, reading, painting, interior designing, cooking and baking. She enjoys discovering new places, meeting new people and inspires others to feel beautiful, confident, empowered, and to succeed irrespective of their size, height, weight or age.  
    She was born in South Africa and moved to Canada in 2003. This has given her the opportunity and platform to inspire two countries.  She is fearless and uses challenges as golden opportunities to be an overcomer.  
    She is honoured to be Mrs. Galaxy Edmonton and will use this platform to bridge family’s, be the voice of the unspoken, inspire people to be leaders and role models, and to help them overcome challenges.

    Urszula is a wife, teacher, traveler, adventurer, life-style model, volunteer, and beginner motivational speaker.  She has been married to her husband for over ten years and they have a Russian Blue kitten named Ulush.  Urszula is a teacher by trade, with a Master's of Education Degree from the University of Toronto.  She has worked with students as a teacher, coach and mentor, for the last fifteen years, and has various experience working inside and outside the classroom.  Beginning work in philanthropy and motivational speaking, Urszula believes her platform is not only to empower women but through education, she can empower youth, girls and boys, to be their best-selves.  Urszula’s motto is ‘Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful’ because she is convinced that everyone has their own kind of 'beauty', on the inside and out, and that everyone is unique in their own way, and this should be celebrated.

    Amanda Doyle is a wife and mother of 2 beautiful girls. Her core values focus on family and spreading awareness of Congenital Heart Defects. As a mother of a CHD patient awareness early detection and treatment are key! She has been a fund raiser for Toronto Sick Children’s Hospital along with her daughter several times. 
    As a mental health fighter she also hopes to spread the the word that individuality is not only acceptable but applauded and even encouraged. So let the you shine bright! Amanda also holds an honours degree in Aesthetics and aspires to own an organic facial spa one day.
    Her hopes are to spread awareness, inspire individuality and shatter stereotypes.
    “I’m not a cookie cutter anything ....but outside the box doesn’t have that bad of a view!”

    Angela Zheng

    Angela (Shubei) has dual Bachelors degrees in Performing art and Business Management from USA and a Masters’ degree in Human Resource Management from Canada. She has been working as a model and actor for over 8 years. Angela is multi talented in singing, dancing, hosting, piano and painting. She is not new to the stage with years of pageantry and performing experience behind her. 

    Angela is a super consistent and energetic person who has been actively involved in charitable activities. She is also family oriented who loves her family members the most. “ process matters more than outcome” is what she deeply believes in her life.

    Lynn is the director and owner of T-Era Models Canada and T-Era Cosmetics. She has been involved in the pageantry and modelling industry for the past 25 years.  She is married to her best friend Fred Cormier, who is a general contractor with his company Hero Renovations.  Lynn is a mother of two daughters, Hannah and Tara, as well as a step-mother to Kaitlyn. Lynn is very passionate in working with teen girls that are looking to break into the pageantry or modelling world. If awarded the title of Mrs. Galaxy Canada 2019, she will continue to promote the positive aspects of participating in pageants.

    Laurisa Andre

    Laurisa was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and now lives on the west coast with her husband, Eric. Together, they have a passion for traveling and have always loved British Columbia and dreamed of living there one day.. so they made it a reality! 

    Laurisa is a Medical Radiologic Technologist by trade and also owns a health and wellness company. She attributes her stage presence and grace to her years of performing in figure skating and dancing throughout her childhood and adolescence. She then transitioned into modelling and has 10 years of experience in runway, photoshoots, and promotional work. She competed in her first pageant in 2016, her first model search in 2018 and is thrilled to now represent British Columbia while competing for the Galaxy Crown! 

    In the last year, Laurisa has accomplished dreams that she has been working towards for years, and wants to inspire others to also pursue their dreams no matter how far away they may seem - as they will be worth the effort!
